1. Blue & Green complex colors stood out for this forecast especially yellow green, mint green, and vibrant green, along with a continuance of blue green, turquoise, calming ocean blue and blue denim. Possible combinations mentioned included mint or yellow green with purple and blues with orange or yellow. Jackie Jordan of Sherwin Williams, hinted that that she “keeps coming back to Aloe” (mint green) as a choice for 2013 color of the year, while another color expert insists that blue greens will dominate.

2. Pink/Fuchsia tones thrust themselves to the forefront for 2013 with one color expert predicting “Terra Cotta Rose” as the color of the year while Lea Eiseman seemed excited about “Baton Rouge” (fuchsia)..
3. Violet/Amethsyt, the color of Royalty and creativity still maintains its popularity, with the addition of “plum” according to Lea Eiseman, plus amethsyt or plum brown as viable options according to the Sherwin Wiliams forecast.
And even though grayed out colors were mentioned by most of the color forecasters along with dark moody colors like wine, violet or charcoal, we could see a ray of sunshine with Lemon Sorbet, the color of the year for 2013 according to one color expert along with golden rod yellow making an appearance along with a few more saturated colors..
