Ready for the perfect kitchen or bath?  Know what you don’t want but not sure what you do want?  Let me share some ideas.

For the kitchen, think long term updates because kitchen remodels can be expensive.  One of the first things I would recommend researching would be all the new appliances available from built in gourmet coffee makers to steam ovens.  And if you’re aging in place or have small children a magnetic induction burner might be the perfect choice.

Water filtration systems are one of my favorite items for the kitchen and now you can purchase a faucet from Rohl that has an integrated water filter system or just install your water treatment system directly up to your refrigerator.

Once you’ve determined what appliances you need and the layout of your kitchen, its time to think about the beauty of your kitchen, an important direction for kitchens of the future.  With appliances being hidden behind cabinetry and the kitchen merging with rest of the house, homeowners are looking for more attractive ways to design their kitchens.   One great option I found recently at Kansas City’s Home & Garden’s website was a Star hood by Elica.
